More about Drama

Here some more things that I have learned through this class, there two new terms which is Aristotelian and Brechtian types of tragedy drama. These two types of tragedy drama are different from each other. Aristotelian seems to appeals emotion and Brechtian appeals to intellect, as it involve argument and it allows the audience to think. In Aristotelian protagonist relationship’s is to himself and God such as in Oedipus Rex by Sophocles and in Brechtian drama protagonist’s relationship is to society such as in King Lear where he has problem with his daughters betray him except for his youngest daughter. All these things arise in the plot and these are the things to differentiate between Aristotelian and Brechtian drama.
