Ages of man

The poem The four ages of man by William Butler Yeats is about a man who struggle in life from the beginning until he die. The poem is similar to Oedipus Rex where Oedipus has to struggle from the beginning where his parent King Laios and Iocaste give Oedipus to King Laios shepherd, for him to be left and die while he was still a baby. Later Oedipus married to his own mother without he realizing it and he also found out that he was the murderer to his own father. In Oedipus Rex we understand that Oedipus had to suffer from the beginning to the end of his life.
